Giving Back - Coalatree Donates 100 Pairs of Pants
It is that time of year again. The time where we gather with loved ones to celebrate the holidays we so choose. The time of year where we think a little less of ourselves and a little more about others.
We are very fortunate here at Coalatree to be blessed with good health, a roof over our heads, and food on our plates; something that not everyone gets to enjoy over the holidays. Knowing this, we strive every year to give back in ways where we can make an impact on our local community. Every year we grow a little more, learn a little more, and in turn, give back a little more.
This year we got in touch with the Road Home Family Donation Center in Midvale Utah where we were able to donate 100 pairs of brand new Trailhead Pants, all in different sizes. We believed that these pants would be the most beneficial for those struggling with housing because they are warm, durable, and anti-microbial (you don't need to wash them very much).
We are happy to be able to support an organization such as Road Home. They have three locations in the Greater Salt Lake area along with multiple housing programs, veteran services, COVID resources, and so much more.
Their vision: “We envision people moving seamlessly from the cold streets into warm housing; from despair and alienation toward home and inclusion. We envision a community that recognizes the inherent dignity of those who live in poverty and homelessness. The Road Home will work with all of our partners to realize this vision.”
