Clothing That Makes Every Winter Trip More Enjoyable

If you're looking for a weekend getaway that combines adventure and relaxation, then a trip to the mountains in Utah is the perfect destination. This is exactly what I experienced on my recent trip, where I had the opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes and hit the slopes at a couple of local ski resorts. But what made this trip truly special were the pieces of clothing that I used throughout my journey.

From taking the dogs on a snowy hike in Millcreek Canyon to enjoying a night out downtown, and then waking up early to go skiing in the Cottonwood Canyons this trip was better than I could have ever expect it to be. Salt Lake City seems like the perfect place if you love getting outside and exploring nature, but still want to have all of the perks of living in a metropolitan area. 

Because Salt Lake City is having a record setting winter as far as snow is concerned, it was important that prior to coming to visit I was prepared with the right gear. Fortunately, all of my Coalatree products had be covered for this exciting winter vacation!

But what I loved most about this jacket is that it's incredibly breathable, so I could wear it while I was moving and stay comfortable and warm without overheating.

While I loved the two pieces above for specific uses, Coalatree's Baseline Midlayer was my go-to piece for just about everything. This versatile piece is a perfect layer to use while doing just about anything in the winter. It excels as a midlayer for skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and other activities, but it's also great for apres and even for hanging out at home after a big ski day. It's comfortable, warm, and breathable, and it has quickly become my favorite piece of clothing.

All in all, my trip to the mountains in Utah was an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to go back and explore more of what this beautiful state has to offer.
