4 Tips For An Unforgettable Road Trip

Written by: Shaggy Eells

Buckle up your seat belts because it is time to hit the road! And before you do that, you need to have the best plans to have an unforgettable road trip.

What Clothes To Bring

In all honesty, having too many belongings with you when traveling becomes irritating. This makes you spend too much time thinking about where your belongings are and digging them out, instead of just using what you got in the first place.

The best way to pack for a road trip is to pack light.

This way you can avoid the feeling of claustrophobia. Not to mention, you might find some nice belongings along the way that you'd love to bring home.

Here’s the deal: The best way I have found to pack light is to understand what the weather will be like before you get to a specific area. This way you can pack your clothes according to what the weather will be like.

If you are heading to a cold area, check out the Evolution Hoodie and Evolution Joggers to stay warm! They are made from coffee grounds, recycled plastic bottles, and other sustainable materials.

Always Have Extra Time For Random Activities

All too often when traveling on the road, we get caught up in the moment and our plans need to change.

This is a great thing, unless your plans were too rigid in the first place. Changing my plans last minute is something that always brings me stress.

None of us will ever be able to predict what we will come across while traveling on the road. But if we predict that we’ll need extra time on the road, then you’ll be able to go with the flow and get lost in the moment.

All in all, having spare time is a crucial part of any road trip.

Music, Podcasts, Audio Books

Odds are you will have many hours of driving ahead of you before you arrive at your first destination. Even though the scenery will be beautiful and interesting to look at, you'll want some audio entertainment.

I'm sure you already have a few great playlists downloaded, but you should also download some podcasts and audio books.

Here’s the thing, getting sucked into an interesting story while driving is a great way to make any drive enjoyable.

Heck, you can even get a free month of audiobooks from audible right here.

So step up your audio game before you hit the road.

The Most Important Ingredient Of All…….. Friends!

After spending the last 1,000 days on the road, I learned a very important thing about traveling.

Where you are matters much less than who you are with.

I’ve gotten bored after a few days in the most beautiful locations because I was by myself, and I've had a ton of fun in horrible conditions because I was with the correct friends.

So if you are currently planning a road trip, stop whatever you are doing and text 3 of your best friends to see if they can join you.

(Seriously! text them right now)

Not to mention, I bet they will even have a great idea for a location you could go to, or they have those last couple pieces of gear you needed.

Enjoy Your Next Road Trip!

The truth is, a road trip to any location will be amazing if done properly.

I wish you the best of luck on your next road trip!
