The most recent order was made a few years after I first backed it on Kickstarter, and I still have the original pair in great condition. Ordered two pairs this time, and although there were hiccups due to the shipping partner, service recovery by Coalatree was great and they sent me my two pairs after an email inquiry. Just wore one of my new pairs today, and was caught in the rain (this happens quite often in monsoon season in Singapore), and my undies were fine, having been protected by the adventure shorts' water-repellant nature.
But recipient said it was great.
The Trailhead shorts are a great option for traveling, especially hiking. They are comfortable, lightweight, and pack down small. I haven't had the chance to test them on the trail yet, but I have a feeling they will stand up to the rigorous environment every bit as much as my Trailhead pants do.
After my first pair purchased and having them for a year, I then bought every color available. In my opinion these shorts are thin, sturdy and a great length. I am 5’4” 150lbs. and i bought size women's large. My favorite shorts.
Love the shorts. Very comfortable and soft material.
I backed these when they were first released on Kickstarter. I bought two pairs, and they are STILL my favorite shorts!! I’m buying the 3 other colors now. I need all of them. Hahaha.
I love these shorts! Bought one pair and loved them so much that I came back and bought 2 more. They are very water resistant, fit snug in the waist so they never sag and don’t need a belt, have large pockets, and they are long enough that they cover my booty completely but short enough that they still look feminine. I wear them hiking, over my swimsuit,l while kayaking, and at casual social events. I’ll probably end up with a pair in every color eventually!
I really wanted to like these but they ended up being too thick for me for a New Mexico summer and I found the fabric unpleasant against my skin. The elastic was also too tight even though the rest of the shorts fit well. They seem to be very durable and well-made though so I could see how they would work for other people.
