Love all my Salt Lake City made purchases.
This jacket is great. Perfect for slightly cool summer nights and/or chilly air condiitioned homes. I wear it all day long. The chest pocket is convenient and the reflective logos are a nice touch. I haven’t poked a hole in it yet to test the self-healing feature.
I first wait for over a year to get the jacket, and when I finally got it, the XL size is definitely not a standard one because it barely fits. On top of this, I emailed customer service to arrange a change, and I have received no reply yet.
I bought it for my son. True to description! A bit snug in the shoulders , but he is a big guy.
Super lightweight, great wind-breaker, great fitting hood that doesn't blow off your head in the wind, packs super small, rad jacket! I bought just on a whim as an add-on to my decaf denim jeans (rad jeans also!), and didn't expect to love this jacket but I do. I've worn it backcountry splitboarding, camping, hiking, and even as a light jacket while working on sprinklers to keep me from getting soaked (though am not sure it'd outlast a torrential downpour). Dries fast, dirt brushes right off, and you can pack this in a pocket. Haven't had to test the self-healing but I'm way stoked on this jacket. I kinda wish it had pit-zips but that would also compromise the packability so that's a minor detraction. I bought the red (more like a burnt-orange) and love the color as good change-up to my usual black. Stoked to take this on more travels. Great job Coalatree!
I told my family I wanted this jacket for Christmas and they ordered one size larger and the wrong color. When I emailed customer service they were unbelievably understanding and willing to get the correct size and color I wanted! I will be mainly using this jacket for mountain biking and it packs down small and light enough for a long ride. Also fits perfectly even while hunched over on my bike. The XS fits great for. 5’5” 127lb f.
The color alone is eye-catching. Once you get your hands on the product, the immense happiness that comes with it is amazing. The product's quality, features, and look are great. I love how you can go from an outdoor adventure to walking the streets of Boulder, CO feeling like you fit the part - chic, and "handsome."
I had to order a larger size because, to be blunt, I'm fat. It fits perfectly, with one exception. Most jackets that have enough room around the hips have lots of extra room for the big shoulder muscles that I don't have. This jacket seems designed for a person with a normal body type, and I thank you for that. AND the exception is that the sleeves are extra long on me.
That might be an advantage on days when I've forgotten my gloves.
I like the tightly woven nylon cloth. It really does break the wind. I have not worn hoods for many years but we've had enough cold windy days that I know I am going appreciate having this one.
