The Puffy Kachula is very durable, waterproof, and stain proof, so we can let the kids use it outside and we don't have to worry about it getting ruined. Sitting around the campfire the embers never burnt any holes and the soda we spilled on it even came right off with just a light shake. It’s nice being able to take a warm and cozy blanket that you don't have to be afraid of using in harsh and rugged environments.
I recently bought this product and took it camping. It was about 45 degrees outside and slightly humid, so it was cold. I had on a snowboarding jacket and was sitting next to a fire and I was freezing. After a bit I remembered I packed this blanket, btw it packs down super well into a backpack. I just shoved it in there and it fit super well. Anyway, I busted out the blanket. Took out the hoodie, snapped up the blanket (to wrap my self up) and I was super warm for the rest of the evening. I was actually blown away by how warm the blanket was. I was even sitting on the ground.
Also, as a pillow it is great. I was wiped from the camping trip when I got home. I put the blanket in the pouch and then used it as a pillow to take a much-needed nap.
Let me just say, I use this product all the time. As a college student, it comes in handy all over campus from acting as a blanket for wet grass/turf or a pillow when I'm napping at my private office space. It does very well in all weather conditions acting as a blanket for colder weather and it's not overly warm like some other blankets. I am totally going to order another Kachula, but for now, one will have to do. The puffy variety is extremely warming when wrapped around the body. The poncho feature comes in handy for very rainy days. While not the quickest to dry, the water-repellent coating works great! I pack this thing in my backpack and sometime just carry it around so I always have it wherever I decide to go. If they were a little cheaper, I would have bought 2, but I will consider in investing in another. (Not part of the review): I will defiantly look into buying a hammock or another Kachula as they all integrate together. Stay tuned for another review!
It’s a great addition to my Grandview hammock set-up...
Works great for what I've used it for, which is just something to cover the ground for now. I live in the desert and its summer so haven't needed it for warmth or rain cover just yet.
Honestly, you guys are the best! I had problems with my order and you had it resolved in no time with a friendly response. Keep the sweet products coming
