Trailhead Pants - Black

I've had these pants for a couple weeks now and have been wearing them as often as possible. We've had to do a lot of hiking and cleanup after a hurricane came through, and they've proven to be durable, breathable, and movable. I am going to try the slim fit pair as well. This regular fit is comfortable with enough room to add layers underneath if needed in the cold. Can't wait to put them to the test more.

I purchased my first pair of Coalatree Trailhead Pants about a year ago. It was love at first sight/wear. They fit great and the fabric has plenty of give. They're fantastic for hiking, camping and even biking. I love the deep pockets that prevent stuff from falling out. The ankle ties are great for preventing pesky bugs such as ticks from getting inside the pant leg. I could easily wear these pants every day. The one feature I don't like is the lack of a functional zipper for those times when nature calls . . . and for me that's multiple times a day. Minimally it requires untying the string that holds the pants up and then dropping your drawers to do the deed. If you wear a belt that's an added step. Collectively that adds up to quite a bit of "down time" in a given day. Other than that I will say that these are without a doubt my favorite pants for nearly all activities.

Great active outdoor and travel pants. Ive used them for hiking in the summer heat, spring skiing, and dead of winter cross country skiing with a thermal layer underneath. They're my go-to travel pants. Comfortable on long flights. They breathe well, shed water and spills well enough, dry very quickly - nearly dry / dry enough overnight after bathtub wash, take a beating remarkably well - no holes, and haven't stained after years of extensize and varied use. This is my second pair. First pair is still in use, but needs nikwax treatment to revive the water repellancy. If you can roll with the style, these are incredibly functional and comfortable for an active lifestyle. The deep pockets are are a bonus.

I wore these pants on a backpacking trip through Rocky Mountain national Park. I was camping for four days three nights, and these were the pants that I wore every day. They were absolutely fantastic, I spent multiple days hiking in them and moving around and at no point did they feel restrictive. They also felt pretty breathable even when it was pretty hot or I was moving around a lot. During the trip, I actually had another woman at the park ask where I got my pants because they looked comfortable and like they would be good to move around in. After wearing them for multiple days in a row, they were still very comfortable.

I purchased two pairs: medium regular fit in green and large slim fit in black. For my trip I used the large slim. I’m 5’4, waist 30-31 inches, hips ~40” and both sizes fit well. The regular was a roomier fit in the hips and thighs, the slim was more fitted but not too tight where it felt restrictive. These have definitely claimed the spot(s) as my go-to hiking pants.

Love these anytime pants on the trail, running errands and everything in between. Have 4 pair and wear them all the time. Also easy to pack when traveling light.

I recently took these on a week long camping trip through the desert and mountains. I was able to wear them several days in a row, they were great for hiking and travel. The fit was great, hit right above my ankle and not skin tight (also had very deep/functional front pockets which you don’t find in most women’s pants). I just wish these had a snap closure or zipper on the right back pocket vs Velcro as the Velcro at times would snag on the hem of my shirts.

These pants are awesome! From hiking to fishing they’re perfect. Material is awesome and lightweight. Have awesome stretch and super strong material. Will definitely buy again!
